Oh, Rockfest. I adore you. You and I have had a 9 year relationship that just keeps getting better. I am not sure if you were Rockfest or River Riot in 2006, but whatever you were, I loved you just as much then as I do now.
Rockfest 2015 had a freaking KILLER lineup. All of them put on a spectacular show. Ok, well, we missed Arson City but it’s all good. I imagine they were fab as well.
Our above crew met up at QSL for a little lunch and pre-drink action at 11:45am. <—-Ya, 11:45am. That should prepare you for the photos that are to come.
Let me just say one more time….
Pre-drinks. 11:45am. Rockfest. All day.
Ok, you’ve been warned.
You, my little friend, got us started on the right foot. Thank goodness you had many friends just like you that came out to play too! 😉
I don’t think I really need to explain much that is happening from this point forward. Sun, drinks, music, gooooood people watching…
Let’s get to it, shall we?
.
.
The day got hotter. The drinks got stronger. The fun kept going.
.
EMPHATIC!!!! Bounce, Bounce…. you know I love the way you….
.
This girl? One could say I kinda dig her.
.
The crowd.
A mere 15,000 all together. Can you even imagine? Ya, it’s pretty epic.
And soaked in booze.
And loaded with cool people with their own sense of style.
And the occasional passed out person that WILL get messed with.
#sorrynotsorry
.
Trouble, Trouble and More Trouble.
.
Porta Potty selfie, naturally.
#classyladies
.
Hey, wait! I still know these people!
.
Ya, we are that cool.
You wish you were too.
.
Oh, heyyyy girls!
.
Cheeeeese!
.
IN THIS MOMENT!!!!!!!!!!
Time to push through the crowd…
And look who we ran into???
Elise!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girl, you rock my socks!
Mama and daughter. Elise was super excited I am SURE of it! 🙂
And then they made us clear out. Something about storms and needing to seek shelter.
In our cars….
Makes TOTAL sense!
15,000 down to 1,000 is seconds.
Well, to me it was seconds, but that might be the lemonade I was drinking. That fresh squeezed lemonade will get you every time, I tell ya!
.
And now ladies and gents we have what we call a Parking Lot party….
Hey, Liz! Get it, girl.
.
.
On the catwalk. On the catwalk yeah, Kimi strikes a little pose on the catwalk.
Right Said Fred – you are welcome now for that little catchy tune stuck in your head for the day.
.
Ain’t no rain gonna stop us from having fun.
.
.
And how about these two lovebirds?
I mean, STOP IT!
Too cute.
Hey Andy… about that engagement.
.
The rain quickly passed and we found our way back inside to see Halestorm rock their set.
.
Good stuff.
.
Papa Roach closed out the night. I would have liked to have stayed a little longer as I am totally in love with their new album, but the day caught up to me and I was ready to roll.
And, so we did.
Cheers to a pretty fab Rockfest 2015!
Too much fun… 🙂
